Select a Children’s author or illustrator and prepare an 8-0 page, computer-generated,
analytical/biographical children’s book. The page count does not include the cover page and the works
cited page. Include the following in your children’s book.
Biographical information such as date and place of birth and death; education, career, outstanding awards received, etc.
A summary of the writer’s importance and contributions to children’s literature.
Discussion of major themes, topics, subject, techniques, and writing styles.  Be sure to provide specific examples of the writer’s work to illustrate your point.
Discussion of critical reception of the author’s life, and works; influence the writer has had on other authors or illustrators.
A discussion of what you admired most about the writer.  Explain in detail.
Be sure to document sources of reference.
Prepare a s

elect bibliography/works cited page of primary and secondary sources. NOTE: This page is not included in the page count!
MLA style should be followed.
In-text citation and documentation should be followed. 
Be sure to double-space. 2 size font.
Include a Cover Page with a picture of your author/illustrator. NOTE: This page is not included in the page count!
Do NOT plagiarize! All research reports will go through the SafeAssign plagiarism checker before they will be graded.  DO NOT COPY word for word.  Put the information in your own words.  NOTE: You do have the opportunity to run your assignment through SafeAssign before turning it in.
Include pictures throughout, so it will actually have the look of a book. However, pictures should not be so large that they take away from the text. 
Remember it is a children’s book so the language shouldn’t be extremely advance 
but also this is not made to be a beginner’s book.
