After you have identified and gotten feedback on the theories, locate two empirical research articles (at least 1 article for each theory) that study or test each theory with a survey, an experiment, or a qualitative study –NO CONTENT OR META ANALYSES. Be sure to read the entire article (not just the abstract). Your full research paper should expand on your proposal. You should define the theory and what media effects it explains. Then for each research article/chapter/book, you should identify the theory the authors use, explain what they did and found in the study, and how it relates to your clip. You should summarize the key points in your own words. Remember to use the em
pirical articles to back up your claims because they should provide similar evidence for what you are trying to argue but with a different stimulus. Be detailed about each study. One strong way to do this would be to discuss what would have happened if your chosen clip was used in the study as the stimulus material; how would the participants have reacted and why?
