Overview:
For this assignment, you will be creating an annotated bibliography. An annotated bibliography is an organized list of sources (books, newspaper articles, magazine articles, periodicals, web sites, videos, etc.) with a written summary and evaluation included for each source. The purpose of an annotated bibliography is to create a list of sources for an essay or project and focuses on a particular research question. For this assignment, you will create a written list of sources and a presentation of those sources.
Annotated Bibliography Written Components:
· Minimum of eight sources – The sources you choose should be related to your argument essay topic.
· One summary paragraph should be included for each source. The summary should focus on the main points of the source and be a minimum of 150 words.
· One evaluation paragraph should also be included for each source. The evaluation paragraph should focus on how the source will be used in your argument essay. What purpose will the source serve in your argument essay? Your evaluation paragraph should be a minimum of 150 words.
Annotated Bibliography Presentation Components:
· Choose four of your eight sources to present to the class. The summary and evaluation of each source should be included in your presentation.
· A visual aid must be included in your presentation. This is your opportunity to use your creativity. You can use PowerPoint, Prezi, create a poster board, create a pamphlet, or any other visual that can help you share your source information with the class.
· Your presentation should be a minimum of four minutes and have a clear introduction and conclusion.
The source information should follow APA style guidelines. In addition to a written bibliography, you will also be presenting your sources to the class. Below is a list of requirements for the assignment.
